Megan Dunkley, M.Ed., RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Megan Dunkley is a Registered Psychotherapist with an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She works with youth and adult individuals.

Megan’s goal is to support clients in a way that feels safe, real, and respectful. She sees therapy as a team effort that should honour the unique strengths and valuable experiences of each client. Megan brings authenticity and humour to her work with clients, while also maintaining a gentleness that lets the client lead and decide where they’d like to take each session.

Although her approach varies based on each client’s needs and goals, therapy with Megan will probably involve exploring your relationship with yourself and others. She might encourage you to start noticing things like emotions, thoughts, and sensations in your body, both in-session and between sessions. You can expect non-judgemental warmth, compassion, acceptance, and honesty from Megan.

Human First, Therapist Second

When I’m not at work, I’m focused on being a mom to two kids who are approaching teenagehood at a terrifying pace. I’m obsessed with my dog Nora, who tolerates me. My own special brand of people-please-y-perfectionist-y-anxiety is a work in progress. In my downtime, you might find me watching a disaster movie, diving into a cozy read, or watching a TV show about love. Or murder. Or both!
